Did not hear it on Site 1-01. Bummer.I have SDRs, but I haven't set up the software yet. I've heard it on Site 1-049 (Cook North), but I don't know if it affiliates with any others.

It doesn't seem to be affiliating with Site 1-002 (Cook South) either since I'm currently scanning both Cook Co sites. It's pretty active at the moment picking up IFERN audio from MABAS Div 24 since South Holland FD requested an EMS Box.Did not hear it on Site 1-01. Bummer.
Interesting. I placed a submission request in for further to be in use.It doesn't seem to be affiliating with Site 1-002 (Cook South) either since I'm currently scanning both Cook Co sites. Listening to this TG via Broadcastify and the audio quality is quite poor, like the input level is too high or something. I did notice one brief key-up by RID 243145, which is listed in the SC21 wiki as Lake Zurich Fire Dispatch.I have SDRs, but I haven't set up the software yet. I've heard it on Site 1-049 (Cook North), but I don't know if it affiliates with any others.
Could this be because it's a VHF patch similar to some units using VHF ISPERN on the Starcom ISPERN?Listening to this TG via Broadcastify and the audio quality is quite poor, like the input level is too high or something. Starcom has different physical zones. That is based on radio network layout and zone controllers. From what I've heard, Cook County is referred to as Starcom 'B' Cook County has their own management team and does most of their own radio programming in-house. Some of this may be guided by the contract agreement with Motorola.I have a couple questions about starcom21, So i see there are 1xx and 5xx sites for cook county, and its been said by a lot of people that 5xx sites are almost all enc, and from my own scanning, i see a lot of county sheriff TGs on it. My questions are: Why do they have their own sites? Why don't any of the unenc TGs pop up on there, because they seem to pop up on the 1xx cook county sites, and why do only the enc TGs pop up on 5xx sites for sheriff? Are non sheriff radios only programmed with 1xx sites and don't affiliate with 5xx sites, (because if a radio affiliates on a site, it will get all the TGs bound for it) and sheriff radios only have the 5xx sites? Or am I missing something here?
So basically the sheriff guys are on a different zone and they are completely separate from everyone else? they ahve their own sites and stuff. Also, what are the InteliRepeaters and are they used?Starcom has different physical zones. That is based on radio network layout and zone controllers. Going back to the other conversation. There was a training doc that was released a few years back by someone. It basically said ISPERN is referenced for VHF channel only and PRIORITY is meant for the Starcom TG. The problem lies when things get patched or selected together during a broadcast..
Correct. It's just like how DEDIRS also operates. So basically the sheriff guys are on a different zone and they are completely separate from everyone else?
I have heard this referred to as "2-B" on the air recently. I have moved this from the old ISP District 2 to the ISP Troop 3 subcategory in the Radio Reference database.Troop 3 is using the "old" District-2 B (TGID 9003) channel for a detail today. 3 (2-B) Detail channel. Goes with the pattern...3-B, 5-B, and now 2-B (or not to be) Ok, ok...had to say it!
I've also heard recent use of this TG. 1374xxx and 2374xxx RIDs, "RGB" aliases being transmitted, unknown investigators.TG 9058 ISP D2 Elgin local patch is still being used. Traffic heard this morning.
It's not just the sheriff and other county agencies, the list of users also includes many local PDs.Correct. It's just like how DEDIRS also operates.
I sort of resolved the mystery. This talk group was being multi-cast/patched to 3-B on this day. The 2-B traffic could be heard on 3-B, but the traffic on 3-B wasn't always being heard on 2-B. Chicago TC's weren't specifically assigned to this channel, based on RID's in use. The O "Ocean" units were the primary 2-B users and were at the radio lab a couple days later, and I've been hearing them on 3-A primarily as of late. I suspect they were "old" D-2 troopers that didn't have the radios updated? It's in my ID Scan list and will update if anything changes.I have heard this referred to as "2-B" on the air recently. That's my guess...Could this be because it's a VHF patch similar to some units using VHF ISPERN on the Starcom ISPERN?
What program (software) are you using?Does anyone know which agency uses 181xxx RIDs on SC21? There is one particular RID in this range (181005) which has made a number of short, silent transmission over the last month on a number of talkgroups in the Chicago area. The alias being transmitted is BVPDM2210. All of these transmissions were logged on Site 101 (DuPage County).
