just to add a little more info on the automated fire/ems dispatch 20016 talkgroup. Very sporadic use, but proscan has logged 44 hits over the past week. I also noticed that even though I’m only hearing the dispatch mostly for Dearborn (15) and some for Ohio (58) counties, the UID is 6920100 which should be a Ripley county unit id. Anyone have any thoughts on what’s going on with this?
Troopers sure aren't checking SAFE-T Tower lights anymore (like in years past)... If you see Tower lights out, call that SP District and report it, the dispatchers know who to pass that on to.... In the last few months I have had to report two different towers.... Bloomington ISP didn't know who to call, but after 3 weeks (and it might have been weather related) they final got the Jasonville Tower lights back on...

I had this happen for the Warren (Huntington county) site. ISP Fort Wayne post did not know what to do. They said they would contact their custodian, or building maintenence person. After another week or so, I reported the outage for an FAA NOTAM. After reporting that, I received an email from IDHS with a phone number to their 24/7 watch desk, if I ever needed to report something like that again.
Would IPSC be the appropriate agency to contact for a state-owned radio tower where the tower lights do not work? I contacted the ISP PIO Facebook acct in early June, but as of yesterday the tower lights still did not work.
Unlisted TGID 12592 picked up on Elkhart today at 1755. UID 7113307 so guessing this new TGID is in St. Joseph County. Didn't have recording on and wasn't at the scanner to hear it, so not sure what it is yet.

I asked one of the people who works down there. I guess they switched up their talk groups and got a new one, the 20016, in the processes which someone is coding an auto dispatch like voice for and testing due to the high cost of a true locution which is what hamilton county ohio uses.
"Coding".... Good luck to them as the automated dispatch voice system has to be directly tied into the full CAD network. If they succeed and don't FAFO their system, then they too can start a multimillion dollar company like Locution or Motorola's set up. Wondering how they got the Okay from IPSC, as you have to work with them on doing things with SAFE-T as far as I know. (Though a few agencies seem to not get it that SAFE-T is meant for interop, not just a high tech toy for them only.)
