It was just easier for them to encrypt the whole system by default I guess. Who really knows but them.

FD 1 (2751) has went encrypted. Last transmission was pushed out at 5:38 PM.
Yep, they switched over to the new encrypted Fire 1 on TG 2797.

As long as the fireground stays in the clear I'm good.
I saw the in the DB yesterday that Schaumburg FG is partially encrypted (Te mode) now
Yeah someone reported seeing an ENC transmission on there and asked us to change it to partially ENC.
It's their system. They don't need to admit anything.
Ok this is weird. It keeps switching talk groups. Is it them switching from encrypted to non encrypted? And that foreground came from me. There was a encrypted signal received when they were at the fire alarm

Ok, so as a bit of an update, here is what I have so far:
Fire 1 User IDs from the old TG coming through on 2798
Fire 3 User IDs from the old TG coming through on 2799
Meaning,
Fire 1: 2798 Full ENC
Fire 2: Still on 2752, no ENC. Would their new TG be 2797?
Fire 3: 2799 Full ENC

It sounds like they are simulcasting legacy TGs with the new encrypted TGs. Perhaps this is for testing purposes, and ultimately will switch to the new encryption ones.
Per an email that was sent out the firegrounds will not be touched only dispatch will be encrypted
Looks like yet another Will County LE agency went encrypted. This time, it's Romeoville PD. They briefly switched to their Tac channel before switching back to TG 1951.
Your correct it started with CH3 TG1953 and now its dispatch TG1951 , how sad ,...
Is TG 1953 ENC or still clear?
I've received/heard both clear and encrypted transmissions from it. So, it would need a lower case 'e'...
