The two Division 7 freqs for the SPD are what you need.
159.1350 ct 167.9
159.0000 ct 127.3
STARS is not running yet but some of the freqs in Zone 9 may be simulcast. They do simulcast a couple of freqs listed in Zone 9 or 10 down here in Hampton Roads Division 5 area.

Can we help with a file for the area you plan to visit?

I will be in Virgina Beach, I already inputted the control channels for that Area. If you have a file that contains more than this site has I would love to have it.

Once again, thanks for the info.

You're in Bucks County so you either have a 296/796 or 96/2096. I have both the ARC file and Win96 in the attached zip.

Win96 is in three files which you may want to set in V-Scan. One is for the Hampton Roads area including most of the list in the ARC listings below. The second is from Balt MD area through Prince William CO VA and the third is on to Newport News.

The ARC is in two, which you will have to choose which to load, one is for the Hampton Roads trunked systems from York County, including the cities of Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk and two Military bases, Langley AFB and Norfolk NavBase plus a conventional bank, DEA etc. The second starts from Balt MD area to Newport News VA.

Tech's testing signal levels

Yesterday afternoon on 159.165 using a 167.9 PL, 3 or 4 tech's were riding around the greater Fredericksburg, Culpeper and A P Hill areas checking signal levels. They were causing the patrol units as well as the Culpeper dispatchers major problems with interference.. they caused interference by doubling with the VSP units as they chatted as though no one could hear them.. One of the tech's had the ability to vary the power levels of the new base stations from 15 to 80 watts using touch tones. All seemed to have laptops recording signal levels as they moved around. They also tested their HH's with the bases, not through their built-in mobile repeaters but "direct" with the various base setups. I was surprised how well that worked for them. Today they are going to review their work and make recommendations.
