Is anyone aware of any current issues with the STARS system? I seem to have lost all of my active sites and there is no activity.

Recently updated my database through EZ Scan, and all other systems in Northern Virginia are functioning normal. STARS appears to be down, but I find that hard to believe.

Which part of the state are you in? Last time I checked, which was yesterday, STARS was working fine in the western part of VA.

Yesterday I updated my database using EZ Scan. I am using a Whistler 1088.

This is strange. Everything else in Northern Virginia is running fine. So I do not suspect the radio. It is possible that EZ Scan could be the culprit.

What scanner are you using?

My 436 is doing Okay on the system while the new TRX-2 is having a few issues picking them up and decoding the signals all of a sudden.

I have noticed that the signal is showing full strength and the TRX keeps getting "stuck and unstuck" on data channels on trunked systems.

I have tried this in different locations around the house and even tried to get something to pop while driving around testing the scanner in my vehicle and still have issues getting it to work correctly.

I have also noticed that since site 31 has been entered into the DB and my scanners, it is being used far more to catch transmissions instead of the Dumfries site I have listen to for three years now.

Thanks for the reply. I am not even getting control channel activity. Yet the VSP patch to Fairfax is working fine.

Just tried using my Pro-106 and seeing very low bars w/o any voice.

Try reprogramming the system. Something sounds like it is not in its place. I'm sitting outside listing to Culpeper with no issues right now.

I have the entire system programed in with everything but the Culpeper channels locked out and scanning I believe six sites total.
