This afternoon I am seeing activity on the frequency 852.5625 but unable to make anything out. It breaks squelch with static sound, followed by a short beep, and then squelch kicks in. I've caught this type of activity before, and was just wondering if anyone else was catching anything on the frequency today.

With the exception of Troop E, the frequencies needed will mainly be in the low-band vhf range, and this information is in the database and very well marked. Basically you will need dispatch and mobiles programmed in, and NFORCE Air.
For Troop E you will need the new P25 programming, which again is in the database.
