I am curious on how many EMS agencies use 155.205 MHz (statewide EMS) as their primary dispatch frequency in Tennessee? I know Cannon County EMS uses it. We use it to communicate with Vanderbilt Lifeflight during air evac operations (as do most agencies).

I hear a bunch of traffic across 205 here at work, CW IDs (which I am not hamsexy enough to know CW, HI HI), various paging tones, MDC1200 idents, the works

Good group, btw. It's nice to find discussion about local public safety radio. .

Best,

Matt

Right here...
McMinn and Cumberland counties use it, although McMinn just recently got a license for a UHF repeater for EMS but have not switched over as of yet.

155.205 is supposed to only be used for ambulance to ambulance, or ambulance to RCC, or as a mutual aid of sorts for ambulances not for day to day dispatching state wide, but no one has the teeth to enforce it I guess.

Cleveland uses the Rescue repeater during the day and switches at night. and they have a rx pl so they dont hear all the other counties when the band opens.

Cleveland (Bradley County EMS) has used their own VHF repeaters for over a year now.
