AF1 departs ADW 10:35 to CLT use Marine 1 for two stops then returns from Greenville Spartanburg Int'l in SC 2:55 with ADW arrival at 4:10pm
Pensacola evac still in progress, I wonder how many T-6's they have there -
CAP action from CLT -
NOBLES up with Huntress 260.9
NOBLES and tankers 228.9
364.2 active with signal levels comparable to CAP players, SENTRY26 between CLT and AVL, didn't get callsign on 364.2
I don't have a lot of time to search so haven't caught any additional A/A or AAR action. Also, HMX should be operational in the area but no joy there either.
Comms not going well at all today - NOBLES not at all happy with jamming on CAP freqs, NOBLE asks tanker 'who would be jamming our freq down here', tanker responds 'secret service'. We don't get a lot of CAP activity in this area so I'm not sure if that is common or not.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. Wizard Alpha and Wizard Bravo are the back-ends working Huntress. They are in orbit just SW of the CAP orbit. Also, 82-8000 which flew into CLT as AF1 took a quick hop down to GSP. That DC10 is the CAP tanker.
Yeah doing some searching and always seems like 62AW McChord C-17 callsign.. Maybe a squad training callsign.Unrelated to the CAP but I've noticed JAVA C-17's around lately (02-1111 JAVA28 lifted out of DOV a little while ago). That's a new one for me.
1755- Air Force 1 (VC-25 # 92-9000 ADFEB9 PPO) working Potomac (118.95) on approach to ADW.
Did they use AF1 as the call? Local media showed departure from SC and 92-9000 was already in northern VA when the showed live video of him getting ready to leave. 82-8000 headed that way now followed by RCH780T.
Working out of KCHS..Notice TEAL 74 WC-130J up from Carib area South of Cuba heading into Charleston area..
Guess wx may get heavy in Miss so better off up this way.
