The database here identifies AE58BE as an F-18.

I agree about being an F-18. But I'm doubtful about being 168911 as that site has it. Scramble has 168911 at VFA-87at Oceana.

I think it's more likely a jet from the west coast squadrons that deploy with the Roosevelt. CVW-9 is with it now. The last deployment ended in July. VFA-31 and 87 went back to Oceana.

What about the flight ID P405 and tail 405 ? Coincidence ? Looks like a VF-34 aircraft so probably not ?

President Elect to campaign in Georgia tomorrow, watch for flights out of Wilmington using N235DX, N717LS and Jetblue N273JB for the trip

That was really cool. Boy, that drogue basket looks like a very small target to hit :giggle:

Thanks, yes it was a cool video. Now how about if some of you guys could edit/add some of the comms from this flight into the video....

The 94FS F-22s again delayed, now re-scheduled for Wednesday.

René.

PS: the Netherlands just went into an almost complete lockdown, all non-essential shops, restaurants, bars and schools all closed for 5 weeks.
Most folks required to work from home, public transport only when really needed. Damn.

As they were heading south over VA, one of the tankers was passing that he was going to leaving the drogue trailing throughout the rest of flight because there was some sort of issue when they would retrieve it. They'd reel it in before they landed.

Heads up pair of B52 up headed northeast. I don't know if its another show of force overseas or just a local flight.
