May catch some RAF F-35B types and Tankers down the East Coast tomorrow enroute Red Flag Nellis.
Seems they had tanker problem and stopped at Lajes vs South Carolina.
Will try again Thursday if all goes well. In recent past RAF Typhoons stopped at Bermuda then Eglin Fla enroute Vegas.

Mark,

No it's an ATC freq. The controller on 269.1 gave that freq when Mytee 55 asked for a Uniform freq.
New one for me Ron unless ATC misspoke which happens sometimes.
Did you copy any traffic on that freq?

BTW Boeing has postponed that 777X flight till Friday due to wx conditions.

0840- E-6B TACAMO # 162682 (Rufu 35) approaching Pax River from the south.

0841- Have intercept on 126.2. Brave 1 & 2 (F-16s 121st FS DC ANG ADW) talking to unid acft have then turn away from a restricted area. Several times fighters start chat with "real world". Strange freq for this so could possibly be some sort of training/exercise. Just had Brave 1 say "ready for next set up" so some sort of training going on. Freq choice is still strange.

Seems they made their way down the coast around 1510 local. I wasn't searching freqs at
time so nothing heard here...
RRR9401 ZZ332 VOYA FL340
RRR9402 ZZ337 VOYA FL270

The post above that is US Navy P-8A with spoof mode.. Lately they have been using various spoof AE68**
to disguise their tail and unit. This one came out of Jacksonville NAS as most do around here.
Maybe seeing who is snooping around Norfolk area?

Ron gave you the full list but if you just need a few of most popular I use they are
270.800 Bay Watch low
354.800 Bay Watch High
256.500 Bay watch discrete
310.150 Pax E-6B Maintenance. Usually hear this with inbound E-6B asking for runway deer sweeps at night.

For those with HF radios may want to listen over next 5 days or so to US Stratcom exercise
Global Lightning 2020.
I notice these exercises always start slowly with orientation, meetings etc but in the last couple days of exercise
you actually get lots of EAM's and some bomber,E-6B,E4B actions.

Good freqs to watch: 8992.0 USB & 11175.0 USB

If you don't have your own HF rig there's a ton of tunable HF SDRs available on the web.

EAM this morning 0520 simulcast but 8992 sounded so much better than 11175
due to band conditions so stuck with that. Sounded like station "Mainright"

Boeing broadcasting there B777X test flight starting around 12:30pm local.

Couple of VX-23 Pax River EA-18G test birds on the USS Ford.. Lots of room on deck :)

Guys,

Just curious. Is anyone hearing any milair in our area on the LVHF (30-60 MHz) band?

I'm redoing my scanner banks and was wondering if it's worth putting LVHF freqs in.

Any of the NJ guys have a recent list of ANG ACY freqs?

Looks like a drill weekend for the 201st AS DC ANG. Already have 3 Boxer acft (C-40s) departing ADW and flying around the local area in Virginia & Penn.

Also looks like CGAS Wash getting new TDY helo. ADS-B shows CG 6560 (HH-65) departing Atlantic City and on approach to DCA.

CG 6560 just advised ADW tower that they were on a public relations mission and would be landing near the 11th St bridge and be there for a couple of hours then departing.

1014 EST- Blackjack 1 (HH-65 CGAS Wash) working w/Huntress (139.7). Appears he was diverted by Huntress to check out TOI which turned out to be flock of birds. Blackjack 1 advised Huntress he was returning to training.

1021 EST- Team 81 (KC-10 # 79-1710) & Team 82 (KC-10 #79-0433) working on AR 636 primary (238.9)

1026 EST-- Bash flt (F-22s 149th FS VA ANG Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA) check in to W386 (238.1)
