Thanks Freqhopping. That's really interesting as I was hearing them on those freqs up here. I found 254.35 at 1735z when they were just off Nova Scotia and 263.1 at 1754z off Cape Cod inbound. Seems weird they would be calling ATC that far out. Thank you for the information. I appreciate it. I had no idea they were ATC freqs! Those ATC freqs in our area. 263.1 is ZDC Bucks Elbow 254.35 TRACON on the MD Eastern Shore.
I'm hearing them now with their accents.
Sounds like he may be talking to RRR9401 and talking about catching up with them before Snow Hill.

Ok thanks. I just received a confirmation from a friend that 254.35 is a known RAF refueling freq. Their different band plan could make sense as to why they'd be on ATC freqs over here. Appreciate all your help and I'm glad to be able to give a heads up for you guys. They're ATC for us, but not them. They are using them for air to air, just now joining up with RRR9401. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the follow up on this Freqhopping. Much appreciated! It sounds like ZDC may have complained about them chatting on 263.1. They have now moved to 254.35.
Especially now that they're essentially right on top of the Buck Elbow sector.

Rgr Ed the 5 RAF F-35B's came thru the other day but was also supposed to be some Typhoons for Red Flag.Heads UP! Just had an RAF KC3 callsign ASCOT 9403 (reg ZZ333) pass through my area inbound dragging some fighters. They were up on 254.35 which I caught as their possible boom freq. Fighter Air-Air was 263.1 As of now (1819z) the flight has separated and the tanker is headed back to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The fighters are continuing on down towards you lucky Mid-Atlantic guys! Hope you catch them!
