Who caught Torch 82 94-6701 ADFDE6 C130 coming into the DC from Peoria Illinois today before heading back home?

A C-130 Hercules assigned to the 182nd Airlift Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, transports equipment and Airmen with the 182nd Security Forces Squadron to Washington D.C. for presidential inauguration support from Peoria, Ill., Jan. 14, 2021. The Airmen were part of the up to 15,000 National Guardsmen authorized by the Department of Defense to assist civilian authorities in operations supporting the 59th presidential inauguration.

Two interesting stories for this area...
Who's staying up late to track them?

Had 524SOS C146 go up the east coast earlier this evening. A C17 is currently following the same flight path as well. Spotted the GOLD 71 KC135 headed SE bound too.

I went back to the history files in the wiki to pull frequencies for the upcoming Falcon Virgo exercises. These are quite old; take them with a grain of salt

  • 121.500 Guard Frequency/ELTs
  • 135.525 ZDC Guard Dog
  • 350.250 ZDC Guard Dog
  • 139.700 Huntress (AM mode)
  • 228.900 Huntress
  • 260.900 Huntress
I also seem to remember Blackjack USCG helos on the VHF marine band. Civil Air Patrol might be involved too.

Falcon Virgo exercises have become quite routine anymore.. Civil Air Patrol sends up a
Cessna who acts lost with no coms and Reagan airport launches a CG Chopper and sometimes a couple Andrews F-16's
go up and assist.. They need a new script :) Sometimes I think NORAD has no imagination.

I *think* for the Civil Air Patrol in our area, 148.1375 (NFM) is used. This wiki article (again, how up to date?) lists the various units and states by frequency

If this pans out, it should be added to Ron's list....Mike
Mike can you add 141.550 FM ENC to your search list. We have been getting occasional short FM ENC P-25
coms on this freq which used to be Andrews VHF CP.
One poster here in Virginia said ID was NAC 293 and RID 1379041
