They are supporting the 388FW deployment to Mont-de-Marsan airbase in France for exercise Atlantic Trident 2021.
ROMA 63 (62-3575) and ROMA 73 (60-0336) pre-positioned from Fairchild AFB to Bangor this evening.

Thanks René. Had a feeling something was up.. I remember last year on one of the 3 Hill F-35
deployments it was the same drill, the local news heads up about training noise etc then a dozen+ departed pre-dawn
and woke up almost the entire Wasatch Valley...Locals got some good vid and pics as well.
Down Southeast US like Shaw or Seymour Johnson, Langley nobody notices a large early am deployment but in that echo chamber of the Wasatch Mountains everyone hears them

Saw this blurb this week as seems the F-35A which Hill alone has 72+ has passed the F-15E in numbers.
F-16 numbers though quite a long ways off LOL

85-1472 is one of the current CAP F-16s.

Earlier there was a brief attempt to intercept. After starting a descent they were told to disregard. Then one of the F-16s came up on guard trying to contact an aircraft near the Gaithersburg airport.

Excellent so add REAPER type T-38 to callsign list as 509th OSS Whiteman AFB .. Thanks! Seems a B-2 trainer,familiarization flights as well.
Must have flown into Langley down this way.. Lots of black T-38's at Langley as well

At 1300 today four Langley T-38s did an Arlington flyover. I'm pretty sure it was four, four showed on ADSBX early on and the fourth wasn't showing as they got in the area. It was for SR-71 pilot Lt Col Ben Bowles.
