Henry and Helicopters of DC caught a "Near Miss" incident between a USCG Blackjack and an HMX-1 Nighthawk last night.

Here's an edit of the 0100Z LiveATC tape, the near miss is toward the end of the clip. It sounds like perhaps BLACKJACK TWO made a couple of transmissions in FM mode before he flipped the mode switch to AM to report the near miss.

I wish I could get a better photo, but I’ve been noticing a twin engine prop plane circling to the east northeast of Rockville MD for at least the past two days. Does not appear on ADSB-x. Any chance this is related?
