Does anybody know what frequency and what type digital signal stone county is using? I know for a fact they are using a digital signal. It's not the p25 AWIN system. I was told by someone that works in that field that they had new frequencies and was digital. I have heard them on several occasions say to go to the new digital tower. I have scanned when that have said that and haven't heard any type of digital signal. I have looked in the FCC database and the there is no license listed for a digital signal.

If they have new freqs its an STA, and I have not found it yet. If so, I would bet its either MotoTRBO, or NXDN since that seems to be the way most of the PSA's down south are going. What kind of scanner are you running so we can tell you what kind of searching to run to find new transmissions.....??? Also are you sure its not a new AWIN site? Have you been doing an AWIN TG search for new ones???

I'm using a pro 197 and I have been using the AWIN tower located at iron mtn in stone county. I have the talkgroups set to wildcard. I also have a pro 163 that I have been using to search for digital signals. No I'm not sure there isn't a new awin site.

Awesome... I will keep looking for any STA or that type of thing from FCC. It should be pretty easy to find a new freq using NXDN or TRBO with a band search going with VHF High, and UHF running. (Since the latest lic that is easily found has both on it, NFM) It could be that FCC is still way backlogged with narrowbanding changes so have not got around to posting it in their DB yet.

As I said, the official FCC lic may not have made it on their db yet, as they are still very backlogged with narrowbanding, narrowbanding waivers, P25 Phase II Waivers, and so forth in many states including AR. So it may be another month before the lic shows up. As I also stated, you can find them very easily with the search functions on your scanners. If your talking about the County SO, they are busy enough that you will find them quickly. As for a municipality PD, it may take a tad longer if they are not very busy. I will also do a business freq search and see if maybe they could be on that, since sometimes LEA's use SMR for their ops.
