Hello, First post here. I will format more appropriately as I get to know the forum.
But I wanted to ask if anyone has come across this.

Is this a digital radio or trunked system that is keeping the channel alive in some way?

Thank you.

Please update your profile with Where in CT, it helps to provide a better answer as the State is rather large

If you have a SRD or a discriminator tapped receiver you can look at it or record it and look at it to see if there is low speed low level data like LTR or something else that you can't hear on a tiny HT speaker with no bass response. Usually data bursts at 1 second intervals is GPS RTK but you can usually hear that.

FWIW: Both of these frequencies (464.7875 & 463.6750) are shown on this LTR system:

Which has been moved to DMR, hence the OP needs to update his profile as to where in
203, 475, 860, and 959. :coffee:

His ham call (KB1SSJ) puts him in Canton, CT.

Scan New England and Radio Reference have both still being part of the Homeland Defense LTR system not the DMR system.
464.7875 shows as being in Wolcott, which would be a little bit of a stretch, although parts of Canton can see pretty good to the south. However 463.6750 is in Bolton, so that would be almost a definite there in Canton.

I suspect he's hearing those.
