General curiosity, why are some fully encrypted talk groups (i.e. EMSA in OKC, Union City PD, Will Rogers Airport PD, etc.) being streamed through Broadcastify?
As in the direct (blue) links to individual TGs via the trunked systems in a county's RRDB section.
They are known, labeled, fully encrypted TGs that are being streamed, and I'm just wondering why?

They may be an official feed from the department with a delay. Chicago PD does this and they are encrypted. But they use what I think is the maximum 30 minute delay. And good on them and all departments that do this!

Either that or the database has erroneous information that needs to be changed.

Are you saying you can understand what those feeds are providing? The ID's are blue because the feed provider hasn't locked them out of his feed even though there isn't anything to listen too but garble. The only thing I can think of for a reason that they are monitored and recorded is if an "Event" happened and the encryption was removed for whatever reason.

Nope, it's all garbled.
I'll listen around the state or country via those links time to time, and was surprised to see that some of the known "E"s were being streamed, when they previously weren't. I listened in and heard the garbled nothingness, which was just confusing.
I only have the same guesses as to why and didn't know if anyone knew anything different.

Agreed, but alas...

When a feed is streamed to the Calls Platform (the blue in the RR database) all TGs are streamed and the Calls Platform software on RR end is supposed to filter out TGs that are not allowed (encrypted, TAC, etc). It appears there may have been an issue on the Broadcastify/RR side.

Fair enough, makes sense.
