They've been very difficult to get a hold of for some time now. Had an order that didn't ship after 8 weeks with no one answering the phone or email so I filed a dispute. Within hours I got a notification that my order was being shipped.

As posted here in many threads the owner may be in bad health and family are running the business and devices are being built on a per order basis as the family members may have other jobs and are doing this in spare time. We have had no official statements on this but this just appears to be the way it is being done.

Stridsberg Engineering, LLC is a privately held design and manufacturing firm based in Shreveport, Louisiana. The company was founded by John Stridsberg and has been building and supplying high-quality receiver multicouplers, pre-amplifiers, and bias-tees for military, government, and commercial markets since 1995.
Details about the company's manufacturing and business profile include:
  • Leadership: Following the passing of the founder, the company was reported to be under the leadership of his son, Morgan Stridsberg.
  • Products Built: The company specializes in RF (Radio Frequency) communication equipment, notably receiver multicouplers that cover frequencies from VLF/LF to UHF, which split signals to multiple receivers without degradation.
  • Customer Base: Their equipment is used by most U.S. military branches, defense contractors, government agencies, and civilian radio enthusiasts worldwide.
You can view their official product lineup and get in touch with their engineering team directly on the Stridsberg Engineering, LLC website.

It says Owner passed away and the son took over.
Maybe son/family is not really interested in producing and selling multicouplers. Maybe they are carrying on dads dream for now and will eventually get out of that business. Makes sense based on similar situations I've seen and the families current actions.

I can tell you if I had a similar home business and I passed away, my wifee would have all the manufacturing/test equipment and parts at the curb for anyone to pick up for free before my funeral.

I've followed the listings for small businesses for sale. This is happening thousands of times every year.

The family may not realize that the business has some value - even for the intangibles - the name, the web site, the customer and vendor contacts, etc.

It seems a shame that this could just be abandoned.

We can't know what the financial situation at Stridsberg is. It seems from the outside that there is something worth saving.

It really depends on what you order. I had order a passive multicoupler about two months ago and it took a month to get it. Just prior to that I ordered an MCA780M back in December, I received no response for two months, I finally got through an Chris told me that they were having trouble getting the boards and could not give me a delivery date, I cancelled the order. In March I ordered an MCA216M, no response to emails (which they are not opening) and phone calls. I just cancelled the order.

If anyone has a MCA216M, could you please post a photo of the internals, I would very much appreciate it!

It appears they stock certain items and ship them quickly. Two of the items I ordered had to built and this is where they have a problem.
