Anyone have an excel spreadsheet or a Win97 format with freq for Nasa shuttle launch. I have the Pro-97 so no listening to the trunked system, but I am looking for anything else. I have gathered some off the internet but was wondering if someone has a list they could share?

Thank you!

259.700 AM mode is the main freq you want to listen to during the launch. Once in orbit they will switch to Satcomms. No idea if you can monitor that.
You might want to check local Ham freqs for a rebroadcast of the launch. Maybe check ARRL.com for local Ham freqs.

259.7

Thank you very much for the tip on 259.7! I was able to hear some comms shortly after launch.....I love technology and the fact that we are able to do things like this. I read the post about the frequency about 2 minutes before liftoff and ran into the shack and put it in my home patrol of all radios. It was connected to a vhf/uhf ground plane ham antenna and had a pretty good signal.

By the way, I am on the west coast beaches of FL, just north of Clearwater, so I am over 100 miles from the launch pad. I couldnt even guess what the altitude was where I began receiving the comms.....and it didnt last long.

Just an FYI and sharing my excitement & thanks.

It is so sad to see the Shuttle Program come to an end. I am so glad I made the trip down to the Cape to see Atlantis fly last May on STS-132! I remember watching the very first Shuttle flight on TV in school when I was in the third grade!
