Hello, I hope that this thread is not redundant in nature. I quickly checked this forum prior to posting. I am running MAC OS 10.10.2 on my computer. I want to download freqs directly to my ICOM ID-51A. I've followed the directions and am getting hung up after I enter my Username, Password and Zip Code. I'm receiving an error message that states; "Suds library required for RadioReference.com import.
Try installing your distribution's python-suds package." I've Python 2.7 already installed on my computer, but evidently I am unable to find this "SUDS Package." I'd appreciate any help. Again, I apologize if this topic has been addressed already in the past.

Are you trying to download frequencies from the RadioReference Database?

Or are you trying to download frequencies to your Icom ID-51A?

What program are you using?

from his post it sounds like he is trying to import frequencies into his radio from RR DB using CHIRP.

at least that's what he said i think?

Hi Gang, thanks for the replies. I'm using CHIRP to try and access the radioreferance.com database. I'm able to open CHIRP>Radio>Query database>Radioreference.com, then a window opens asking for Username, Password and Zip. I enter data, then I get the above mentioned error message requesting that I have this SUDS package in order to access RR DB.

I having same problem using Chirp to access frequencies from Radioreference.com databases and from a Mac. Getting same "suds library" error message referenced above. That said I tried "sudo easy_install -z suds" from the terminal. It was accepted by the terminal but I got the same error message when I attempted to secure the frequencies from radioreference.com
I've also tried "sudo port install py27-suds" as suggested above and the terminal would not accept.
Can anyone out there assist? Particularly if "toastycookies" is listening....Thanks in advance...

Have any of you tried contacting the CHIRP developers? This sounds like a CHIRP problem, not a RadioReference problem.
