My brother has a business in Americus and I was wondering which freq to lessen too.
what confuses me is the dispatch being in another county.

Are they using a TRS system or a Conventional system?

I found 3 TRS for Sumpter County in the FCC database. WRXL 605
YW - Public Safety Pool, Trunked FB8 - Centralized Trunk Relay NXDN

151.0025 151.355 154.055 154.3325 in Americus

151.0175 151.4825 159.2025 159.465 Leslie

151.1075 151.250 159.0975 159.1725 Plains

I didn't see these freq. in the RR database

That's a new system (for Sumter County, not Sumpter); it's not online, yet. County Commissioners voted for an upgrade.

The Sheriff, County Fire, and the City of Leslie FD/PD are NXDN conventional but encrypted. Americus PD is also encrypted; on 700 MHz conventional.

Come to Americus and you get to only listen to the Americus Fire department on P25, State Patrol on P25, and Goldstar EMS on analog.

thanks for the info.
What system does the GSP use in Americus I've heard them on VHF p25 in Cordele & I thought I heard GSP on the crisp P25 system .

GSP Post-10 (in Troop G) is Americus. Conventional P25 VHF in Americus. In the clear, not streamed.

What you hear in Cordele is a patch into the Crisp County TRS. The Cordele Post is also VHF P25 conventional (out of Troop H).

Americus PD/FD are on four conventional P25 repeaters in the 770MHz range. Each agency has a dispatch and tac channel; the city has 700-CALL-50 and 700-TAC-51 repeaters. APD is encrypted, as mentioned above.

Likely what you found in the FCC database will be a three-site NXDN (4800 baud; very narrow) trunking system. I've only heard one of the frequencies pop-up, but I think it was during VHF skip due to Hurricane Idalia.

[edited to add] Sumter County is part of the consolidated dispatch center out of Ellaville. Not sure how they tie-in on local repeaters, but they are usually referred to as "Central" over the air.

I think this is relevant to this thread. I am in Houston county Alabama and can see this
system when skip is running. Thought I would post it and see if it was of any use. If
it is in the wrong place just disregard.

I have access to a remote monitoring station in Bulloch Co GA. Last night I picked up all of those sites, tracked things. Despite it rarely happening, they set the sites up pretty much like you woudl see it in FCC records (so your guesses are correct on the non-CC channels).

This has been submitted to the database. You really should have submitted back when you discovered it.

SO is on TG 101. There was some traffic on TG 201 but I'm not sure what it is.

Might take a few days for an admin to work my submission, but I would guess that by the end of the week this system will be in the DB for Sumpter

It's network L535 by the way, not 533.

I am hearing Talk Group 201 being called Sumter Fire. Also hearing and shows Sumter GSP on UID 1030 in ProScan logs on TG 101.

What site (or sites) are you tracking? And are you feeling that you are getting all converations? I believe the information that @millam originally posted is correct, as that is what I determined when I copied those systems via a tropo ducting event recently. That system has been submitted to the DB, so it should be in the DB soon. But if any of the site's channel orders are off (causing missing transmissions), please do report it. Unfortunately, if that were to be the case, probably only you or somebody else within earshot of the system could figure out the correct order. But from what I could tell, when I was copying each site, voice seemed to track just fine.

I am only getting Site 5 and best I can tell the LCNs and RAN are right. Also I do believe he got all the freqs right. I ran the Analyze on my scanner, 436, on Site 5 and it matchs up with Millam info.

Locals, can we check to see if the conventional NXDN is still in use? 154.875 Sheriff and 155.3175 Fire

Leslie still using 151.19 NXDN Fire?

A whole lot of frequencies on the page are expired or have no tone listed.
