The search continues…. Anyone know what frequencies First Student uses in lower Fairfield County? I know that Fairfield, Westport, Weston and a few others use them but the only frequency that’s active is Stamford and there are no license listed for First Student in any of the other towns save for some low band VHF ones that have zero activity on them. To be fair I may be out of range in Milford of some of these but given I can hear frequencies from as far north as Roxbury down there loud and clear I’m only assuming I should have some luck getting at least Fairfield

Thanks

Late to this thread but ... I believe Weston uses the Hytera trunk-like DMR system installed a few years ago for the schools. The license is WRZG742. Although it's a trunk system, the busses seems to be nailed to one repeater so I'll look at my notes, verify (after the school holiday this week) and then submit once I confirm.

Fairfield and Westport are both mysteries to me. Fairfield busses have a visible ~18 inch antenna so likely operate (or operated) in 150-somewhere. This is consistent with First Student licenses in New Cannan, Stamford, Redding, etc but I haven't been able to find where Fairfield operates.

Similar story for Westport (where I live) who only transitioned to First Student a couple years ago and all the busses are releatively new, and have no visible antenna on the busses. I'm thinking LTE maybe since it's a new contract win for First Student... but that's a guess in absence of finding any thing onair or in the license DB.
