BCD396XT/BCD996XT: System Help

Just programmed the frequencies I want into my new to me 996xt. Problem is I can get it to scan it. It scanner all the preprogrammed systems in time and I dont want them. What should I do?

You can either delete the pre-programmed systems or set System Quick Keys for them and disable those Quick Keys. Then set different System Quick Keys for those that you have programmed and enable those Quick Keys.

Many of the pre-programmed systems, particularly those for trunked systems are rather dated. With re-banding having occurred, it's quite likely that they are no longer functional.

I ended up just manually deleting them. I tried reading the easy to read manual but never found what I was looking for I that.

help my 996xt is stuck in wx scan

I know this is a silly issue but I cant get out of wx scan mode. when in wx scan and i hit wx it goes to weather alert options. I have tried holding in the wx button but nothing happens.

I did find out that the scan button was stuck all better now. thanks for your quick replay
