Hello All.

URGENT! I need a 6 foot charging cable (Micro usb to AC outlet) for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, 10.1 inch tablet...I asked Samsung themselves and they say they dont have any. I also asked Best Buy Canada, where I bought the tablet from if they sold any and surprisingly enough they said no...Any suggestions?

Normally the way charging works these days is you get a micro USB to USB and then plug the USB end into a USB power supply.
The micro USB doesn't terminate into a wall plug.

You should be able to get everything you need at the nearest office supply or electronics store or even auto parts store. They sell those cables practically everywhere now.

Yes but you are also going to need a usb power supply if you want to plug it into the wall.

But be sure to get one with at least the same current as the one that came with the tablet or it could take longer to charge.

You can also find usb wall sockets now and power strips with a place to plug in and most new cars have a usb port too. So theres lots of places to plug in if you just have a cable.

yes, you can use ANY cable with USB-A to USB Micro B and the charger head will work.

You may be making this a bit harder than you need to. The charger you need should be available at many nearby locations, just don't ask at a computer or electronics counter, ask at the cell phone area. The tablet charger is pretty much the same one used by the Samsung cell phones. I charge my tablet (the very same 10.1" one you indicate you have) using my alarm clock's USB port and a standard run-of-the-mill USB to micro USB cable.

I use various ones from 1.5 to 6 feet long. The cable length isn't really important so long as you don't go too long. The important parts are the standard USB connection on the charger end and the micro-USB connection on the other end. The length should be just enough to reach from the charger to where you charge it (with just enough slack to route the cable safely). More length may be desired if you're attempting to use the tablet while charging it (be aware that this will extend your charging time a great deal).

Well with the stock cable with the Tab 4, its too short for where I want to charge my tablet so thats why I ordered the 6 foot cable.

he already had the AC Charging brick, just needed the cable.

i bought a 30 foot- USB-A to Micro USB-B from Cobra cables - a Ebay store that he fabricates them somewhere here in the US.

i never leave the house without it when travelling and it reaches clean across my office.

though since its answered, ill refrain from any further comment
