I need some help understanding the talkgroups listed on the Faulkner County database. I understand talkgroups as they pertain to DMR for ham use. Are they different for public service, or am I just not looking in the right spot to find the information?
As an example, Faulkner Co Southeast fire dispatch is listed as frequency 153.02000, CC 1, TG10, SL 1. I understand the frequency (at least I think I do), and the CC and time slot. But, I'm not sure about the talkgroup. Is it 10? If so, would you put it into a codeplug the same as you would put 3105 in for the Arkansas talkgroup on Brandmeister?
I put the Rx frequency into the codeplug just as I would for a ham repeater. I selected Rx only, so there was no need for a Tx frequency or offset. I selected 1 for both CC and slot. But, now I'm not sure what talkgroup to add for this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
