Has anyone figured out the correct LCN for the new Talkradio site-2 here in Tulsa? It lists 856.1875 to 860.1875 and 856.6625 to 860.6625, however the .6625 frequencies are the only ones in use right now and they are a five channel system. I tried the typical 1 5 9 13 17 LCN but it did not work. Anyone have any ideas or pointers?

It's an SMR system formally owned by EIS that rents out radio space. The only users I hear on it is two tow truck companies. Are you not familiar with these type of systems Folta? Tulsa has several, Comercial Electronics Consulting, EIS, Total Radio, Rodney W Shilot, and the new Talkradio bought from EIS.

I wasn't up on them either until a few months ago. This town is full of LTR users that include the most common wreckers like Storey etc as well as security companies and Tulsa Housing Authority Security and too many others to acount for.

TalkRadio LTR

Pete--

Did you determine the talkgroups in the database? Talkgroup 14-013 and 14-014 would suggest a home channel #14. Obviously that would indicate even numbered channel numbers.

I am no expert, but I have found that 800MHz LTR's don't follow the same rules as the UHF ones (which are more common in OKC).

I would try 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 using all 10 frequencies. Or 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 using only the five active frequencies you have found.

It's pretty much hit or miss, and it's a lot harder if the system doesn't have a lot of traffic.

Good Luck,

Fast2 my favorite admin! I'm starting to figure out that Tulsa is LTR heaven. I'll try it out and report back and if I come up with the correct LCN I'll submit it. Thanks for your insight.
