The Taos County NM feed is down, has been for over a week. The volunteer who supports this feed is NB5R. Is there a way to contact the person to see if or when the feed will be back up? I'm going through serious scanner withdrawal. 🤣 Any advice ? Lol....😀

Buy a scanner if it is that serious...Have you tried sending them a message to ask about the issues? Have you tagged them in this thread? Have you clicked on report feed? You do understand feeders are volunteers who may discontinue the feed at any moment, it could be equipment issues, they could move, or it could be they got bored and decided to change hobbies.

Sorry, first time using this forum..wasn't aware how to tag them, was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I do understand they are volunteers, I don't know how to send them a message so, sorry to bother anyone. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off. I would have tried contacting them personally, just didn't see how to do it. Thanks for the lesson. I'll delete the message. Sorry. Thanks

I think its really unfortunate that someone comes in as a first time user to ask a question about a feed , and they have to ask for forgiveness to post. You really could have answered this differently..

You didn't "piss anyone off" and don't need to say sorry, I was just asking what attempts you made. So often in these types of posts we suggest things only to have the OP come back and say I tried that already. Certainly no need to delete the post as others who have the same question see the options.

Sorry, as luck would have it I dont even see how to delete it. Lol..I'm just one of those old folks who have come to rely on the scanner app. I live 125 miles from my nearest family and all my nearby friends have already passed. I do have a scanner but I use the app because I can use it on my phone anywhere on the property. My neighborhood is getting sketchy. There was a real mess with Sheriff's and State Police in a 3 hour screaming match at 1 am with a guy who wouldn't comply with their commands on the dirt road behind my house. Anyway...thanks for your replies. Still not sure how to contact our volunteer but I'll be patient and hope they come back online soon. We had a power outage near the time it went offline so maybe his equipment was affected. Tks for all you guys do. The app is real helpful. Thanks to everyone who volunteers to keep the feeds going!

Looking at the Taos County Public Safety Dispatch feed, I see no way to contact the feed provider. There is no "Report a Problem" button like there is on other feeds.

The feed provider is NB5R which is an amateur radio callsign. There's a website called QRZ.com which provides data from the FCC amateur radio license database, but also provides information that amateur radio operators provide about themselves. This is the listing for NB5R:

Thank you so much for this, with a little more sleuthing I was able to contact Brian and he said he will look into it as soon as he gets home! 😀
