Am also hearing the two towers on the separate frequencies. I would suspect that they kept things the way they were until after last weekend's activities at St Marys of The Woods.

I just Merged the Towers to the New LCN formate for the Combine Towers and it seems to be working fine with all Traffic on the New Combined System. Is this what you are hearing also? Just weird they have 2 control channels going on the same system, how is that possible, I know the MOT systems can't have this can they??

Also off Topic KD4YGG, but I would guess you are a Ham also, do you know when the next HAM test is around here, I want my ARO license

Rumor has it the THPD Dispatch VHF simulcast is coming back. We'll see.

Be advised that the above talkgroups on the Terre Haute system are analog - so you DON'T have to buy a digital scanner to listen to ISP Dispatch and Vigo County SO Dispatch talkgroups. With exception of THPD (which may be simulcasted on 155.6100 Mhz soon), everything in Vigo County CAN BE HEARD!!!

Also, be aware of a topic called "rebanding" - basically, the 800Mhz band is being shuffled to eliminate interference between Nextel and public safety systems. Some of the older Radio Shack and Uniden trunking scanners MAY not work on the statewide Motorola system after this takes place.

For a Radio Shack, the two newest ones will handle this "rebanding". They are not "top-of-the-line" in terms of all the bells and whistles and digital, but would be a good re-introduction into the hobby.

The old system will be down as of 4:30 today. The three chan. that were left, were for the city bus, they were moved last night. isu, airport, bus, street,hma-1,and sheriff all have diffrent GID's. As for the VHF link for THPD this will not happen for some time if at all do to the lack of a tower at the jail. ISU is now provoice on all but tac1 and cso, CSO will make the change to provoice soon.
