What scanner are you using?

The frequencies have to be programmed into a specific order into trunking scanners.

No Terre Haute Police talkgroups are monitorable on any trunking scanner - it is a different kind of digital.

Terre Haute Fire is analog, as well as a rebroadcast of Vigo County Sheriff and Indiana State Police.

Hey, not a problem. There's plenty to listen to with your 2051 - it's a nice scanner.

Just read the manual please - it will help out.
Just read the manual please - it will help out (yes, I am repeating myself).

In general here's what you can't listen to in the ISP Terre Haute District with your scanner: Parke County Sheriff, Vermillion County Sheriff, ISU Police, Terre Haute Federal Penitentiary. Everybody else is either still analog or simulcasts their transmissions from the main trunked system for the area - Project Hoosier SAFE-T.

Why did I put this together - hey, I remember my first scanner and a guy that helped me. Just trying to repay the debt...

Let's start out with a bank layout. Here's what I suggest...

Bank 01: ISP District 32 - Conventional
Bank 02: Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T Terre Haute - Motorola Trunking
Bank 03: Terre Haute - EDACS Trunking
Bank 04: Union Hospital - LTR Trunking
Bank 05: Illinois State - Conventional (west)
Bank 06: Amateur Radio/Skywarn
Bank 07: Utilities
Bank 08: Aircraft
Bank 09: Railroads
Bank 10: Leave this blank or program as you wish.

For Programming....

Bank 01: ISP District 32 - Conventional
ISP LOW BAND 42.4200
VIGO CO HIGHWAYS 151.0250
BRAZIL POLICE 151.1600
CLAY CO EMS 151.4000
VIGO CO EMS 153.4400
VERMILLION CO FD 154.2200
VIGO CO FIRE 154.3100
PARKE CO FIRE 154.3700
CLAY CO FIRE 154.4000
SULLIVAN CO SO 155.0100
INDIANA IHERN 155.3400
INDIANA PNT-PNT 155.3700
VIGO CO SHERIFF 155.5650
TERRE HAUTE PD 155.6100

CLAY CO SHERIFF 158.7300
VIGO CO EMER MGT 158.7600

Bank 02: Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T Terre Haute - Motorola Trunking
This has to be programmed as a Motorola Trunking system (see the manual)
Unfortunately, there isn't much analog traffic on this system except for statewide mutual aid, Vigo County Fire, and INDOT, but it is helpful.
Program in the talkgroups and select the CLOSED mode or ID SCAN

Yeah - I hear ya' - seems like some guy helped me with several questions regarding Terre Haute a couple of months ago. Can't remember his name, but seems like he likes chasing tornados over in Illinois. Hope you're still enjoying those free battery holders!!!

Radioshack PRO-96 are on sale for $399. In addition, the store on Wabash Avenue (Kroger Plaza) is closing and they have these in stock - not sure, but there may be additional markdowns????
