Question Telive/RB3

Nice post you just kicked in!
May I ask you .... why does the double-spectrum screen just pops up and the dissapears in my set up? I'm using RB pi3, easy install script (everything ok) and then this happens!!
May it be I'm using pipes instead of UDP?
Any answers are welcome! It seems there are some issues with the audio from RBP3, should I use an external souncard to have audio?

Long time no see all. Doing normal work too So today I set up a RPi3 with DVB-T2 dongle. I already knew my old dongle was a bit flacky some would say I might have destroyed it by static electricity. Using my custom gnublock code I am able to tune into three channels on a RaspberryPi3 and have some headroom left. I still see improvements possible but I just want to let you know that for a few bucks you can run the code and do more than before.

If anyone has used the alternative Tetra decoding implementations, I am also interested to read about it.

Nowadays i get two chanels working whit around a 40% of processor charge, but lots of stutter on sound. Stutter only disappear with single chanel decoding (around 34% of processor charge)

Hi skinkie, you con share your gnublock or teach how to modify the included on telive low block?? I wear a month on trying, but I can not get two channels on the raspberry pi 3 and you have 3!! Good Morning
I just need a short guide to make telive work on RP3. Everything installed ok but the flowgraph just pops up and then dissapear!.
any help will be much appreciated.

"also beware NOT to run volk_profile , and erase ~/.volk/volk_config if you did. for some reason optimisation doesn't work on this raspberry"

I'm trying to re-installing all using the opentetra blog instructions and post here the results.

Very interesting claim. I am running with volk_profile, physically in one location I have very good reception. In my second I can't tune the thing unto the signal, but I doubt that has anything to do to volk_profile.

What I did figure out. A RPi3 at this performance really needs the stock 2.5A power supply. Don't replace it with cheap stuff.

Do you mean I/Q output (as in raw sampled input of the antenna) or do you mean audio of people talking?

Not demodelated audio, but AF-I/Q output recording in to large .wav files

I wouldn't use 'wav' files for it. But yes you can, directly with gnuradio. It might be as easy as piping the output to a file instead of the tetra decoder.

Did try with SDRsharp but that is windows so not able to listening to Tetra if there any conversation going on.

This time need a .wav file in know its limited

hello everyone, i have made a summary of my commands for linux in a .doc here for download...

first download kali linux 64 bit ISO on internet or 32 bit?

use cdburnerxp to burn the ISO file on a dvd.

make the kali installation on your laptop or desktop.... from boot....

startup kali and give all the command like in the .doc telive tetra gnuradio-companion sq5bpf

all is done in the "terminal" kali linux , be sure to type everything right -./ etc....and enter....

ALL the commands are correct . it is working exellent here. for unencrypted tetra

I suspect that the problem is in your configuration. The network you are listening to, cannot be encrypted AFAIK because it shows enc=0

Cubicsdr in 0.20 is easy to install on linux. Just copy this link :

make it executable and run

Cubicsdr has an IQ output ready

then it can be send to telive (I suppose)

I suppose , I have to play with pacat parameters (pacat --help)

If this can work (I'm not sure) , Telive could run with airspy and sdrplay witout latency

Hi, I´m following this project since begining (two years ago?) and, sometimes had capture some audio like this, in my region are two different networks, and only in one them SOMETIMES, in random situations, caught audio sound like yours. Always thought it is a fault on the network, by the other hand, i´m runing in VMware, tried with ubuntu, and debian 8, and GNU radio 3.7.5 same thing in any combination
