After a long wait we got into a good stage
I can hear some sounds on the encrypted channel
Thank you sq5bpf and thank my son patient seat in a wheelchair who has a smile prepared to learn something new after fatigue and boredom PlayStation games and computer master
As I thank all the friends here to help
My question now:
1- Can I save the encrypted information in the event of the channel quoted work on a computer or another I tried to work on another channel (Acronym great time it takes to decode the code again)
Sounds incomprehensible and registered and are present in a folder out
2- Can we address them again to decrypt it and hear the voices clearly? That it was possible to find out the way I hope
3-how run googleearth for osomo tetra?

i'm glad that someone finally is using the feature to run google earth on another pc
yes usually change refreshrate to 2 sec and its basically live)
it is strange that you get unencrypted location information, and encrypted voice (maybe there is more voice data on other channels).
Well while listening to this network i have came to the conclusion some talk groups are unencrypted and while in that group also SDS but for example police talk groups are encrypted and i have only seen them 4 times on Map
for 14-10V you could try a simple 9V series regulator with a diode or two to raise the voltage. if you need more current, then use a few in parallel or with an additional transistor. beware that it needs to be low-drop, the 14V could be 12V as well when the battery is not charging. or just do it the old fashioned way with a transistor and TL431 (or zener diode if you want to be really old fashioned)
a TL431 would be an idea but i was also pondering maybe i could just feed the battery directly and hope the load drops the voltage because well 10.4V and 14V not much of a difference gonna monitor that cars voltage over some time and see what the average is i remember it being usually 14V maybe pop in a Large resistor inline

if the SSIs that are unencrypted send unencrypted SDS, then it is ok. but if the SSIs that usually encrypt comunications send the SDS unencrypted, then it is probably a misconfiguration.

always use a regulator. you can have big voltage peaks in a car, especially when the load drops (when you turn off lights etc). a few lowdrop regulators in parallel, or power transistor + tl431 and you will have a nice regulated 10V, without peaks that can kill your laptop.

or just buy a 12V/230V inverter and use the normal laptop power supplies

Decided i,ll buy one of them 20 to 35 eur 12V--->multi voltage multi adapter thingys actually ment for it.
I find it highly amusing thou that building gnuradio from source fried my secondary latop thou
(that laptop would have ran on straight plug into laptops charger input from car)
guess i have to find another 20€ "POS" laptop for the google earththingity

i don't understand the question.

if you're asking if it is possible to save data which is incomprehensible (because it is encrypted, and you didn''t enable mutessi), then the answer is: no (see below).

2- Can we address them again to decrypt it and hear the voices clearly? That it was possible to find out the way I hope

no, it is not possible to decrypt it. this would require dumping all of the encryption setup information from tetra-rx (which it doesn't do), knowledge of the tetra encryption algorithms (which we don't have), and knowledge of the encryption keys (which you don't know)

does this mean that it is 100% safe? no (read the documentation for an explanation)

3-how run googleearth for osomo tetra?

read the documentation

btw say hello to your son

but look at the amperage. if it says it will do 10A, then it means that it will barely stand 5A continious current (or less).

maybe compile on a different machine, and just install here? some of these boards can't stand constant 100% cpu load, and don't seem to have any overtemperature protection.

btw lots of people report that running telive and friends crashes their laptops, and this is usually because of overheating too.

Thanks for the reply Mr. sq5bpf
What I meant the first question:
Even continued to perfection unzip code channel and listen to the stage was a time we need to impose it several days or a week
I suppose I will listen to the same channel on a computer last Can I copy specific files such as (telive.log)
Or suppose I will come back to the same channel after another channel experience
How will keep the channel to encrypt information if possible so as not had to wait several days

sorry, i'm really trying to understand, but i can't.

try simpler sentences.

or find someone to translate for you. maybe someone on this list?

or try google translate, preferably with a language that it supports well

and don't worry, we will solve this communications problem :)

Hello sq5bf,

I have installed telive with you script on a debian 8.1 machine, it works really great! But after starting everything up i can't get any data in the receiverterminal. I know for 100% precent sure that i have the right frequency. I use a Logilink VG0002A wit is compatible with srd. In de lsusb stands that mij dongel is an dexatec but in the gnuradio companion it says realtek dvb dongel... I think that is the problem, can you give me some information??

Please find attached a logfile (rename it to .log and its original again) and a kml file (rename to .kml) with the strange GPS data. Traffic should have been in the neighborhood of Amsterdam and its airport.

Hope it helps. :)

So, since I cant pm or mail you yet (too little posts), I changed networks today and listened to the airports network that happens to be very close to me. Comms are not really interesting, people holding up flight and that kind of stuff. But what I noticed is that there are no SSI's displayed in the telive window... Have been listening foor a couple of hours now and have not seen a single SSI next to a UI. They do appear in the message window though.

Guess I should add this log to the email I'm going to send you when the forum allows me? :)

Hello sq5bpf,

running it under VWware Fusion/Kali I receive randomly msg's like these, that's strange because 1025 MHz area is not in use regarding frequency plan and also all entries are disabled (0) ?

I'm trying to better understand the details in the telive.log and am struggling to find any documentation to explain.... could someone please explain NID and CID in the following (am I right to assume that NID is Network ID, and that CID is CAll ID - maybe a sequential number that increments by one every time that SSI unit calls up?)

20150703 10:09:07 FUNC:DRELEASEDEC SSI:2221 CID:970 NID:16 [Call rejected due to SS-AS] RX:1
20150703 10:09:07 FUNC:DRELEASEDEC SSI:8210 CID:964 NID:17 [SS-AS not invoked/supported] RX:1
20150703 10:09:07 FUNC:DRELEASEDEC SSI:2221 CID:970 NID:17 [SS-AS not invoked/supported] RX:1

RTFS :)

it should be clear enough (when armed with the etsi documentation)

could someone please explain NID and CID in the following (am I right to assume that NID is Network ID, and that CID is CAll ID - maybe a sequential number that increments by one every time that SSI unit calls up?)

20150703 10:09:07 FUNC:DRELEASEDEC SSI:2221 CID:970 NID:16 [Call rejected due to SS-AS] RX:1
20150703 10:09:07 FUNC:DRELEASEDEC SSI:8210 CID:964 NID:17 [SS-AS not invoked/supported] RX:1
20150703 10:09:07 FUNC:DRELEASEDEC SSI:2221 CID:970 NID:17 [SS-AS not invoked/supported] RX:1

DRELEASEDEC is the output od the D-RELEASE decoder

CID = call id (doesn't have to sequential, but should be unique at least within one LA, not sure how this works accross multiple sites)
NID = notification indicator (in this context its the reason why the call was released)

see the etsi docs for a detailed description

NDB 55/17/4/000 type1: 10010011111010101010000011100100000011000001000010 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000

NDB 55/17/4/000 type1: 10001110100010000011110000001000100010010110001111 00001010001011110101010100000000100000100010000000 100000000000110101100111

in the first (incorrect) message most of the ending bits are zeroes.

my guess would be that you have some impulse noise that is breaking the decoder. try a different location.

it might also be that the vm environment interferes with the receiver somehow. afaik the osmosdr source will generate noise if it can't supply any real data, this is a workaround for a gnuradio bug

i'd try running it on real hardware, and see if this problem appears too

I have seen this 1025 MHz "ghost" as well. Maybe it's a glitch somewhere? I saw it in the network information window (after pressing t) but it was gone when I wanted to investigate.

thanks sq5bpf for your explanation, yes I need to test it on another location, different antenna etc. (and maybe like suggested not under VM) as sometimes parts of the D-NWRK msg are decoded faulty instead 39x.xxx MHz as 109x.xxx MHz

btw another quick question, when the burst contains a wrong CRC COMP i.e. CRC COMP: 0x1d0f WRONG only during voice traffic (data traffic is shown OK) is that because enabled encryption or another indication that the incoming tetra signal is unstable

this is normal behaviour, however i didn't actually look in the etsi specs and into code why there is a crc error reported.
