As I mentioned before , they will probably keep PD channel 1 in the clear for mutual aid patch to neighboring agencies so they can communicate during a Chase or other emergency that involves other agencies otherwise they will isolate themselves from other departments. I know from in the past during vehicle pursuits they have opened a patch to communicate with Galveston PD during these types of situations. So I would keep TCPD 1 in my scan list and record function on just in case

After 24 hours of scanning:

UNKNOWN_ALIAS_3523 might be Texas City PD Ops 3 (encrypted) I noticed a radio once on ops 1, using 3523 today.
UNKNOWN_ALIAS_398 is definitely NOT Texas City. (they mentioned trailer homes and sounds like police, but definitely not TC. )

no other unknown traffic with group size more than 2. Someone needs to help define group size. Is it the number of different radios on the system in 24 hours? Or is it the total number of transmissions/(key ups) per 24 hours? I'm going with the first one.

Once in awhile you hear an officer mention channel 3. But they only have to active channels, unless radio reference database is incorrect. I have been monitoring all unknown traffic and there is nothing new active. I guess I will need to open up the radio to listen to all traffic. Verify the database. Attached most active 24 hours, 20 or more.

Please keep in mind, the RR database is updated based on member contributions and submissions, if something is missing it is because listeners haven't updated the information. It doesn't mean the database is incorrect, it just isn't complete due to lack of submissions by members.

Texas City P25 moved main police ops to encrypted/new channel. The change/upgrade was finished yesterday (Oct 25, 2023). I will try to scan for any new group/ID's. Anyone else familiar system have any input about the change/upgrade?

So Texas PD was switched over to the "Galveston and La Marque Public Safety" radio, and with the app, I use on my phone it also shows radio IDs and Channels so I've been seeing "txc pd 1-3" so my guess is they where either merged into GCSOs radio ops and have their own channel or the person who runs that radio found their new radio codes or wtv, but that's where I see and hear Texas City PD chatter.
