TFDs New Squads

Has anyone seen Tulsa Fire Depts new squads? They have 2 new ones I have been seeing as well as hearing. Designated "Squad 22" and "Squad 27" on TFD A. I believe they are strictly medical response vehicles. Much similiar to the old squad 51 from the show Emergency. Makes me wonder if Tulsa Fire Dispatch is going to change its designator from "Main" to "Rampart" now. :lol:

I believe the two new Squads being used now are reserve vehicles (Chevrolet Suburbans)

The artical in the Tulsa Would stated, "The department plans to buy two new emergency medical trucks in the fall."

The bid's have been submitted and are under review. They are F-550 extended cab units if I remember right. They've got utility style rescue bodies on them with climate controlled drug storage, which would make them for ALS response. The bid is between Ferrara and Crimson.

Sounds like TFD's trying to show they can can respond in smaller numbers in smaller vehicles... kinda like if they had an EMS

Agreed, Looks like TFD is showing it's nah sayers that it can be an EMS service.
