If I were to hang a Radio Shack Discone scanner antenna from the ceiling of what used to be my second-floor radio room and attach little shiny dangling objects on it's tips with string over my new little bobblehead's crib, would this interfere with my scanners' reception capabilities? I don't think so, but 'da wife says, "Absolutely No-Way!"

Personally, I appreciate the cute little songs that "Mobiles" (see dictionary for definitions) emit, but I want my newborn to get familiar with sounds of 'other' interesting and cool sounds, namely my radio receivers!

Nice

I thought I would see an iCOM 9500...lol.

The M/A Com Jaguar for ProVoice testing?
Any other "transmitting" radios?
Do you have any mobile and/or HT scanning receivers?

Nice clean set up. Beefy computers. Impressive components.

Great setup. My question is slightly off topic and is in regards to the server you have set up in the laundry room.

You mentioned you have a media center. How are you distributing the contents of the media center? Is there a receiver or something that you are using at various locations throughout your house? I am trying to set up something similar and had a PC loaded with WMC sitting in my living room next to my TV. Needless to say, it looked awkward in the living room. Sounds like you have a discrete set up and I am interested to learn more about it.

Luke,

I am running Vmware Server that has an image running Windows XP and iTunes. All that streams to an AppleTV in the living room
