Yeah, that's often a problem, that you are not aware of it yourself of the echo that naked walls and a hard floor without any cartpets produce and listeners will sooner or later complain that it sounds as if you broadcast from inside a church

OK, as promised, I finally completed my Server Cabinet shack. For the last week I have been recuperating from an illness and stuck at home. I would work 15 minutes on the rack, take a break, work another 10 or 20 minutes, etc. and eventually got it all done. Now to get technical, it is really...forums.radioreference.com

I had that issue when we first started doing the broadcasts, it was a total echo chamber. Using headphones helped reduce the speaker-mic issue but then after I put up the wall hangings the issue went away to the point where I don't need to use the headphones anymore.
We had carpets in the office and bedrooms and ceramic tile everywhere else but replaced the carpets with tile all over to reduce the dust and static electricity. It is also much easier for Hazel, our Roomba robotic maid, to clean the floors.
