I also found that Medi Flight helocopters from Memorial Hospital in Modesto use 131.075. I don't know exactly for what though. Sometimes I hear base on 155.325 and the helocopter on 131.075. Also, FYI Air Med on 461.5750 Is from Doctors Medical Center in Modesto based at Modesto Airport and also in the foothills (Columbia I think).

I would submit the info, but I don't think I'm qualified enough to do that. I still consider myself a novice scanner user since I've only been scanning here in Cali for a couple years. Besides, I don't have too much time between work and school (I'm a college student) to post the little info I know. I'll let someone more familiar with this area submit the info.

CHP frequently staffs a paramedic officer on their helicopters. H-30 patrols near Contra Costa County and sometimes transports patients. I don't know if they use the same freqs as the cars.

The East Bay Regional Park District's helicopters sometimes respond to medical calls in their parks and will often transport a patient if needed. Again, I'm not sure what freq they're dispatched on.

Dunno about Fresno sorry.

For the Bay Area, I've got an update for CALSTAR:

867.5375
PL 67.0 = Mt Vaca

868.3875
PL 71.9 = Mt Vollomer

I used to think 67.0 was Loma Prieta... I wonder if that has another PL? I'll keep an eye out for it.

Hello CZ and everyone else! Fresno, Kings, Madera County area is served mostly by Lifestar Air Ambulance and CHP Helicopter 40, both based at FAT (Fresno Yosemite International). Lifestar has a Unicom freq of 122.800 and is dispatched by Fresno County Fire or Fresno County EMS Dispatch. Fresno County EMS freqs and identifiers are available direct from the EMS Agency here:
http://www.fresnohumanservices.org/...icalServices/PoliciesandProcedure/PDF/400.pdf CHP Dispatch usually will notify H-40 of an EMS Dispatch, and once aloft, will contact Fresno County Fire or Fresno County EMS Dispatch for incident details. Skylife and CHP H-40
both have multiband capability. When responding to an incident in Kings County, radio contact is kept with Kings County Fire-460.600 or Kings EMS Dispatch-461.575, when responding to Madera County radio contact is kept with CDF Madera/Merced/Mariposa Unit on MMU Local -151.460 or Madera County EMS Dispatch-451.425 CHP frequencies for this area are: 42.44 Kings County/ Fresno County West, 42.08 Fresno Metro/South & East County, 42.88 Madera & Mariposa Counties. Mariposa County is served by the air ambulances from Modesto. When responding to Mariposa County, radio contact is kept with CDF Mariposa ECC on MMU Local-151.460 or EMS Dispatch-462.975 Responses to incidents in Sierra National Forest are on Sierra Fire Net- 172.225 Responses to incidents in Sequoia National Forest are on Sequoia Fire & Law Net- 168.775 Responses to incidents in Yosemite National Park are on Fire Net-172.775, Park Net-172.650, or Valley Net-166.300, depending on which channel the Parkmedics are utilizing. Radio contact during responses to incidents on BLM lands are on either the respective county fire and/or county ems dispatch channel, or BLM Bakersfield Fire Net-166.4875 Hope all this info helps!

REACH uses satphone and Nextel

According to the REACH crew in Lodi, they talk to their base in Santa Rosa (whioch dispatches air medic units as far away as Arizona) over NexTel or their satellite phone in the aircraft. No public safety radio except for liaison nor ARINC company channel.

They did experiment with it for a little while some time ago... Sheriff's department didn't like the idea that it wasn't owned by them. Surely, SPD liked it, but it fell thru.

The same Sherriff's dept that cried when east Salinas started getting outside help with the big gang problems. It had to do with the gangs moving into the unicorperated areas to have fun.

I only use to hear the Chp helicopter flying above my house during the big Febuary/ March shoot outs between gangs.

your sure about that? The only helo's Salinas use is the CHP H70 and Star 2 from San Jose before it crash. Salinas PD and Sheriff never had money for one and nerver will have money for one.

yup I remember that I think that's what scannkid is talkin about "experiment" it wasn't an experiment it was CHP helping SPD out. CHP was handling all vehicle traffic in Salinas, well Sherriff and SPD were handling other calls like gang shootings.
