Hocking County shows numerous talkgroups on MARCS-IP in the database. There is money out there in grants and Homeland Security funds to pay for radios.

That is what is being done only so many radios will be given to each department unless they buy their own, and for 2 years the user fee is paid for with grant funds. After the 2 year trial then a decision will be made what happens next. Since every fd member has a portable radio the vehicle repeaters allow for the cross traffic. EMS will be fully on Marcs once the radios are installed with vhf access.

Most system when in phase 2 mode can be set so if someone let say has an xts5000 and comes on a phase 2 talk group. It will knock it down to phase 1 temporarily.
