I'll dedicate a scanner to them and start listening and try to find pl's and ID
each channel. I am less then a quarter of a mile from the place so even in Simplex
mode I should hear them with no problem.

Thanks Elias !!

Hello,
I worked the game last night and all of the comms (from the FCC list above) for the arena ops were iDEN digital format...un-monitorable.

UMDNJ EMS units are using a USHI repeater to run there operations at the Pru. So if you
if you want to monitor operations at the Pru for emergency services it's going to be.

Police: PD Citywide

Fire: NFD Channel 4

EMS: UTAC Repeater: 470.2375 PL: 186.2

Hmm, sounds like they could be using either the new MotoTRBO radios, or the business-digital DTR series radios...

OK, take a look at these two pics - do they resemble either of these (these are not the proper scale, BTW)?

That would be the MotoTRBO XPR-6500 series radio. They're UHF from 403-470 in coverage, and will do narrowband analog FM and TDMA 4FSK AMBE++ digital...

Security frequencies at the new Pru arena

It's obvious that Newark PD, Fire department, and EMS, will all have a hand communicating with situations as they arise at the new Prudential Arena in Newark. I'm sure, however, the arena must have its own "in house" radio system being used by their own staff of security guards, checkpoints, stage crews, ushers, etc., just like the meadowlands has its own system. THOSE are the frequencies that I would be interested to hear at the new Pru arena. Does anyone have any such info in that regard?

Funny story..

I had some great tickets to a devils game the other night, luxury suite!

VERY NICE... so i'm in the elevator to the suite level and i look at the grab rail and there's one of those fancy mototrbo radios sitting clipped to the railing!

I got off and told the usher outside the elevator.

Crazy huh!
