Honestly, I was thinking the same thing. No, I don't have a problem with honoring our military and civilian protectors, but I do think that posts like this belong in the RR Tavern and not in the Oklahoma forum.

Per the forum descriptions:
The RR Tavern - This is the place to talk about off topic items of interest to the RadioReference.com community.
Oklahoma Radio Discussion Forum - Forum for discussing Radio Information in the State of Oklahoma.

Ok sorry.. We need State Taverns NO??

Actually that is a very narrow view of the Oklahoma forum. All the local forums are open for discussions of things of interest to the local/regional area concerned. I know what it says on the description, but it is a well established precedent that things of interest to the local area can be discussed. That is one of the reasons that there is a sub-forum for "breaking news/incidents" so that those non-radio type subjects can be brought out.

Now, since indeed I was called in to this particular thread let me say that of all 50 state forums that I moderate, I spend more time on this one than any other state forum. Indeed, I actually spend more time moderating this forum than I do the RR Tavern. What does that say about the group of people who hang out in the Oklahoma forum? This state forum has more complainers, whiners, trolls with multiple identities and nonsense than any other state forum. First I received endless complaints about PolarBear25 posting short meaningless posts, now I get complaints about him posting a tribute to public safety workers. If you don't like what he posts, ignore him.

I don't see your name as a moderator, if you have a problem, report it, don't comment.

A useless post.

Come on folks, this is not your life, this is a hobby; try and control yourselves.

Thank you Mr. Loumaag

I would guess this is directed at me...try harder, I don't insult easily; however, just for general information, I have never been a security guard much less ever worked in a Mall. :)

Funny..

After further thought, I have decided that while it struck me as an easy and open comment when I first made it, I probably shouldn't have. The OP of the security guard in the mall comment has not previously jested with me, and I was taking a free shot across his bow so to speak. I was pure, unadultered, 4th grade cut-down humor that I stole from the movie Cocktails with Tom Cruise and that dreamy Elizabeth Shue.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
