There is a old FBI trick that people rarely use, to mount your quarter wave antennas 17" and under to the rear package shelf in the back window.
Works very well for cars which have steel shelves behind the back seat!
covert and theft proof too. :wink:
This idea was used a lot in the old 80's impalas when used by fed govt.

Very interesting....I don't think anything is theft proof anymore, they want it....they'll get it.

I did get SWR checked on 900 ant...perfect install, 11 watts forward and about 200 milli-watts returned!
