Thomasville NC trunking system

I cant get it to work says its a moto but seen other places its p25 which is it on the site shows its a moto.

According to the database (last update August 2017), Thomasville is Motorola... I see no digital (i.e. P25) at all...

(the system is listed as rebanded and that could cause you issues depending upon which radio you have and what method you used to do your programming).

Guilford County's P25 system appears to have a tower in Thomasville...

I added it straight from here I added another an it work fine the Thomasville one won’t work I can get the signal off an on but will not hear or stop on anything like it does the other trunk system I have

ok thanks that explains it just confused me when I seen it said it was moto an it would never work. Never seen the one from the Greensboro system till now

Hello Thomasville has gone to p25 they are connected to Greensboro system the old system is no longer in use

That's what we were looking for! Thanks.

This thread seems to chronicle the switch-over - which seems to have started almost a year ago.

Is the old system still powered up (control channel active) and just not being used or turned off? I know some places keep their old systems in place for lower priority users (at least for a while) while other places keep it running for a time to "fall back" to if needed - but eventually they go away.

I can't say for certain but I never heard anything else on th old system after the swio
