I have trunker V3.8.3 running for over a year now. No problems on any of the systems I follow. But here lately about three minutes after I start tracking the Pittsburgh system I get an error message. It reads (Diag 8c66: TIB Malfunction. Now the question is what is a 8c66: TIB Malfunction? I have several slicers and four different radios and it does it on any combination I use, so I don't think the problem is there.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

This is an diagnostic error on the Pittsburg Trunked System. It is not your equipment or scanner. Maybe one of the tech guys can explain what a TIB is....

A TIB is part of the main controller that controls the Trunked Radio System.
I don't know the TIB's exact function but I have seen these messages too when ever there is a problem with a channel (frequency) on the system.
There is also a part of the controller that is called a RIB, which works with
the TIB.

Hope that helps

I believe it's the Transmitter Interface Board. If you read through the Treport doc's, you will find that the diagnostic code provided will tell you which channel has suffered the failure.
