To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I purchased a TIDRADIO TD-H6 and am unable to connect to it via computer. Downloaded current drivers for USB programming cord, current version of Chirp, current version of manufacturer programming software. Tried 3 computers. Two running Win 10, one running Win 11. Confirmed correct com ports. In Chirp, it says radio did no respond to clone request. In manufacturer's software, it's stuck on handshake with no movement after more than 30 minutes. Tried factory reset of radio. Tried previous version of drivers. I returned first radio, now am having the same issue with the 2nd radio. I've tried 3 different cords that came with radios. I purchased a BTECH PC03 FTDI cable. Same problem. I connected my 2 Baofeng radios connect perfectly using each of the cables. Cables are pushed in all the way. Pushed as hard as I could. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting in the radio that I need to change?

I am having the exact same issue. Both my UV-5r's cloned perfectly, but the TD-H6 says the same as yours. I've beat myself up looking for something on the interwebs, but no luck as of yet. Please let me know if you find something that works. Thanks. KG5SLQ

Have had same problem. Tried everything both of you have tried. No luck. Saw in tidradio u-tube (in Japanese) u have to pay to download tidradio software but does not include th h6. Or pay for rt software $25. Another path led to a page to download drivers for $9.99. Wanted my charge card number. Suspect scam. CHIRP clams it has latest drivers for th 6h but obviously not. Contemplated returning but I liked feel of radio and accessories compared to baofeng. Resigned to program manually until somebody comes up with a way to program via computer. Don't have many repeaters to program and does allow programming on the fly. Kind of a scam by tidradio. Sell radio cheap but charge to get software to program. WA8BSA

I had the same problem with my TIDRADIO H6. I couldn't program it with Chirp or the TID programming software. I came across a page on the company website that said I should check the software version of my radio. With the radio off, press and hold the 8 button and turn the radio on. If the screen shows "H6-M031 Ver 0.02 or no display any content, please select CPS software: CPS BF-H6 SeriesX (128 channels)" If it shows "AIP.H6.01.023 Please select CPS of H6-AIP (250 channels)".
My radio has 128 channels, so I used the CPS BF-H6 version, which didn't work. I did the "8" thing and my screen read "AIP.H6.01.023" I installed the CPS for 250 channels and it worked. I was able to program the radio.
I hope this helps someone and that I'm not repeating what's already been tried.

Since this radio is identical to Baofeng Bf-h6.
I would suggest trying to use the

Radioddity GA-510 Software/CPS from Radioddity Website.

What software did you use to program the H6? Where do I find the CPS for 250 channels. Sorry new to this and learning.

I had no issues getting mine to work on the computer. I downloaded a cable driver from buytwowayradios and a couple of USB com drivers. So I'm guessing one of those made it work right. if you email me I can send you the drivers. I'm having more issues trying to program the side buttons to scan or just how to get it to scan at all.

Hey it’s KQ4OMX here, I’d like to talk to you about those drivers for the TD-H6 . I end up having to download the Tidradio software, and it worked for a while. Randomly one day the software started deleting frequencies immediately after entering them. Now I rarely use this radio anymore due to the inconvenience. I like Chirp better, but unfortunately I couldn’t get that to work either. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks
