I've noticed Unitrunker isn't decoed the data channel 407.1625mhz. It sites with no data health and there is a wave form. I suspect Tinker is using another type of system. I checked with HDSDR and I still see the APCO-25 data signals.

Looks like you might have a weak signal, interference or audio problem.
If the type of system changed and Unitrunker wasn't decoding at all then the active CC would not be red.

Unitrunker Not Decoding APCO-25 or is it APCO-25?

I have no way to verify this. I already posted about this in the Oklahoma thread for geographical reasons. This problem might or might not be Unitrunker.

It wasn't seeing a signal on the usual 2 control channels so I loaded up HDSDR to find another frequency with a data channel which this frequency is also in the same band plan of this APCO-25 system at Tinker AFB.

The frequency of 407.1625 shows a nice wave form. The Site window shows no health and the frequency 407.1625 has a red color as the active frequency.

I also tried the new APCO-25 law enforcement channel frequency which isn't used yet but always transmitting. I see a health status. (this one is is being built by the city of Oklahoma City currently not ready for use).

Unitrunker version 1.0.33.6
(not able to upgrade it due to not having a 32bit system)

I suspected that. I looked in HDSDR and it's signal strength is a S9 +7db which should be strong enough of a signal to decode. I also checked the new APCO-25 control channel which showed a health bar. I don't know of any other APCO-25 systems in OKC.

found it

its encrypted APCO-25 today. Thats why Unitrunker can't decode it.

The problem was most likely something on your end.

At this point in time it is not possible to encrypt a P25 control channel.

Did you try 407.9625? That's the control channel for Tinker AFB, although you said the "usual" cch's didn't work, but didn't mention the specific freqs. If it doesn't work, can you post a waterfall display or the waveform you can receive? I'm assuming that UT has worked in the past for you.

Yup, P25 control channels are not encrypted.

Tinker does run most channels encrypted. You may be picking up a direct channel someone is using. They do still use conventional in several cases.
