TIP: BCDx36HP Change Dept Hold w/ Active Site Hold

One of the things I dislike about the site hold mode is you can't modify a department hold while it's in use.

One of the things I have discovered is a channel hold will keep the scanner locked on the current site. Here is a work-around to keep your site locked while changing your department hold:

1. Assuming you have an active site hold, press the CH button to do a channel hold.
2. Release the site hold.
3. Modify your department hold
4. Turn back on your site hold
5. Release the channel hold

This is really something I think a future firmware update should fix. Site hold and dept hold should work independently of one another.

I would have liked to see the site hold be FN + System instead of FN + Dept since a site hold is essentially a "System Hold". Guess we'll see what future firmware updates have to offer!
