Toronto Phase 2

Hello all, anyone else having issues using their Motorola Phase 1 radios, but not phase 2 TDMA P25 capable scanners for all of TFS and TEMS this weekend ?

TFS and EMS are transitioning to Phase 2. If all radios on a talkgroup at a particular time are Phase 2 capable, the TG switches to Phase 2.

Once everyone has a Phase 2 radio (APX vs XTS), groups will be phase 2 only.

Since my Uniden BCD436HP is still picking up dispatch and TAC I'm assuming it receives Phase 2 ?

It will show you on the display. If you see PT1 or PT0 the transmission is utilizing Phase 2. If you see P25, it’s Phase 1.

If you try monitoring Metrolinx, you will definitely see PT0 and PT1.

Has anybody heard anything on the new P2 talkgroups? I've been scanning with my 536, but have not heard anything as of yet.
