Total newbie question....

Just got the RTL-sdrv4 and ive seen people using a frequency scanner plugin for the sdrsharp windows software ,i downloaded this direct last night and nowhere is the frequency scanner plugin ,i also read it was no longer supported in the latest version,if this is so my question is what alternative do people use to scan using and sdr on military aircraft band nowadays. thank you .

I had some issues getting the scanner program to work also. I ended up using the ver. 1921, 62 bit, dotnet 8. Again, it took some doing but with patience, it worked out.

thanks for the swift reply , i also have 1921 (current version) 64 bit .and open the dotnet8 version but no plugin for the frequency scanner only frequency manager .....could do with you knowledge here ...

Nope never deleted any .

You'll need to, look for a,plugins error file, open with a text editor

To me the easy way to accomplish this is start fresh. Download current sdrsharp version and then use the community plugin installer. Has lots of goodies including frequency scanner.
