Our local (Indiana...not Japan) factory made Toyota Tundras and Sequoias. Manufactured here, built here...in America.
And that's an excellent point. There's no problem with American quality...just the dinosaur American car companies.

When people send their money to another country, that is a big problem. We are free to spend money how we want, but I would never buy a car from another country.

radios looks unprofessional, although it looks like a tough vehicle to install radios in, just not alot of space.

nice ride

looks clean-- stick to the topic boys-- does not matter what you like. We all love the goodies inside. Radio's and more Radio's.

I am sure they used the lowest bid, and whatever else they needed to spec. out the ride. Good use of public money if you are using it for what you need.

it is staffed 24 hours a day by one of our rescuers, who responds direct to calls in it from work/school/wherever they are

Sounds like a group with too much money who wanted to give a limited amount of people a fancy ride to drive around in. If there was any tax money spent on the truck (not equipment) that would be a disgrace.

Same here, had a 99 Exploder XLT and traded it in after 6 years for fear it would shake itself to death. What a piece of junk is right.

And traded it for a '05 4Runner Sport Edition with the V8 - LOADS of power and rock solid. No comparison whatsoever!

We traded ours for an 04 Town & Country, since we were driving mostly in city and highway (we drove about 1000 miles two days after getting it, and about 3000 a few months after).

I'm driving a TrailBlazer right now (I couldn't find a 4WD 4Runner or Sequoia at a similar price, only 2WD ones), feels really good, but still, I'd feel far better driving something based on the Land Cruiser platform.
