Certainly not all of them. I live south of Macon, have a train track (Norfolk-Southern) at the end of my street, and I can pick up their "Road Channel" on 160.9500 and their "Dispatch Channel" on 160.2450.

As a sidebar, does anyone have any idea if this could be a repeater pair-type thing?

Here in Alabama P25 in used at Norfolk Southern's Norris Yard for certain jobs.

For the Dispatch Channel, try 160.830 along iwth 160.245.
160.830 is used by the train crews and 160.245 is used by the dispatcher.
It is not a repeater set-up.

What area for CSX?
Here in East Central Alabama, I monitor 160.980, 161.370, 160.590 and 161.370 . I recently heard 160.785 in use around the Auburn/Opelika area. Traffic sounded like either maintenance of way or signal maintainers.

A signature is anything that you want to be put at the end of every post you do. Mine is in red at the bottom of this post. A profile is whatever information you would like to share, like your city, state, occupation, hobbies, etc.

i know what they are. its a joke ive had for a very long time. back when Prodigy and Compu-Serve were the biggest ISP's, on crappy 14.4 Kbps modems were the shiznit, i used to joke alot with people about those.

Yes, CSX is still conventional in the South for sure. Most all of their radios are not even P25 capable, and all the locomotives seem to use Railroad model Spectra's or other analog VHF radios.

CSX will be this way for quite some time to come, but they will eventually migrate of course.
