Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative (which covers parts of Chemung, Steuben and Allegany Cos in NY as well as parts of Bradford, Cameron, Clinton, Lycoming, McKean, Potter and Tioga Cos in PA has filed for a couple (so far) FCC licenses for 2-frequency DMR trunked sites in various places in Pennsylvania. I am posting in this forum because so far the only licenses I've seen are for sites in PA.

ARNOTT PA (TIOGA)
153.1475
153.4175

MANSFIELD PA (TIOGA)
153.08
153.2525

MARSHLANDS PA (TIOGA)
153.5675
153.2825

GALETON PA (POTTER)
153.1775
153.4475

COUDERSPORT PA (POTTER)
153.0425
153.5225

ASAPH PA (TIOGA)
153.35
153.1925

I have no clue what radio frequencies / systems they use now (if any). But those in the service area who are interested in listening to them should keep an eye out for DMR activity on the aboves freqs / at the above sites.

I'm guessing that since the sites are all 2-frequency sites, it is probably going to be a Multisite Capacity Plus DMR system -- but who knows.

Thanks. I'll have to try them out. I'm still getting them on VHF, particularly 47.72 and 48.54. Both with a tone of 186.2. Looking at their locations and power I Don't think they'll get much past Tioga, but that could change. I have Claverack, which is out of Bradford County and Susquehanna County as DMR. You might want to check under VOAM Electric as well, as that is where I got the Tri-County frequencies.

Thanks for the tip. I only looked for licenses under the one FRN. I'll check the VOAM FRN.

This thread was started specifically for Tri-County Electric Cooperative. If you guys have information about Claverback or VOAM or Northwestern REC, you should post them to a new thread so there is not a discussion about three different electric companies in a thread specifically titled Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative :)

I entered these as conventional(DMR), still getting the older VHF. They are mapped out here:

Looking at the map, location 1 would seem to be closer to Tower Hill (Jackson Township) than Mansfield. They are located in downtown Mansfield, however. I generally get them during inclement weather which we've had plenty of lately.
